Using Big Data in Population Health

In a Viewpoint article published in JAMA, the role of modern data in advancing both population and individualized health is explored. The authors make the case that in some circumstances data may indicate that the uniform treatment of a population is preferred, for example, when a disease is highly prevalent and its treatment is relatively safe. In other circumstances, however, an individualized approach is more appropriate. A link to the article can be found here.
