I have been thinking about and working on projects that examine how DNA methylation alterations can be used to create panels for early detection of cancer and other chronic conditions. I am also working on how to use methylation markers as biomarkers of risk, associated with environmental, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors. Both lines of research intersect a common theme of health disparities and health equity.
