Center for Clinical Data Analysis

The Center for Clinical Data Analysis (CCDA) is directed by Diana Gumas, Senior Director of Clinical Research Information Systems and Services in the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. Expertise consulting supports Hopkins inHealth pilot and other PIs to plan how best to acquire, manage, and use research and evaluation data and analysis results. Service consulting executes these plans at Johns Hopkins.   

Core services include:

  • Research data extracts - one-time or monthly/quarterly integrated extracts from Epic, EPR, Sunrise/POE, and CaseMix/Data Mart
  • Preliminary, anonymous data for feasibility, grant applications, and statistical sample-size estimates
  • Assistance with data governance questions
  • Collaboration with Johns Hopkins IT professionals
  • Collaboration with external IT services for advocated applications
  • Referrals to database services
  • Access to the Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients (CRISP) as it becomes available for research use
  • Study recruitment services and other research uses for Epic
